Vullaby, known as バルチャイ in Japanese, is a dual-type Dark/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation V. It resembles a baby vulture, with a plump, stout body covered in dark gray feathers, small wings, and pink feet with three claws. It has a short neck, a round pink head, a crest on its top, a gray beak, and red eyes. Vullaby is characterized by the cracked, upside-down skull it wears as a diaper-like undergarment to protect its rear. This bone is either found by Vullaby itself or by its evolution, Mandibuzz. Due to its large appetite, Vullaby experiences frequent growth spurts and needs to replace its bone armor, passing the old ones down to younger Vullaby. They often squabble over which bones are the most comfortable. Vullaby is a female-only species and cannot fly, moving around by hopping. It chases after weaker Pokémon. It discards the skull when evolving into Mandibuzz.
