Thundurus, known as Voltolos in Japanese, is a Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation V of the Pokémon series. It is a dual-type Electric/Flying Pokémon and a member of the Forces of Nature, alongside Tornadus, Landorus, and Enamorus. Thundurus has two forms: Incarnate Forme and Therian Forme. In its Incarnate Forme, Thundurus resembles a blue, muscular humanoid genie with a purple horn, white hair, and a mustache, and is covered in purple spots. It is known for its destructive rampages, causing thunderstorms and forest fires, but its lightning can also enrich the soil. In its Therian Forme, Thundurus transforms into a sleek, blue, bipedal dragon-like Pokémon with a thicker horn and a more aggressive stance. The two forms differ in stats, moves, and cries. Thundurus's design is inspired by Raijin, the Japanese god of thunder, and its Therian Forme draws inspiration from the Azure Dragon of Chinese mythology.
