Quilladin (Japanese: ハリボーグ Hariborg) is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI. It is the evolved form of Chespin, the Grass-type starter Pokémon of the Kalos region. Quilladin is based on a porcupine, with a body that has two layers: the upper layer is green, and the under layer is brown. The tips of its ears, nose, and tail are orange. When Chespin evolves into Quilladin, the hard spikes on its body grow even sturdier. Despite its prickly appearance, Quilladin is considered a gentle Pokémon that avoids battle. It relies on its sturdy shell to repel attacks and strikes back with its pointed spines. They typically live in small groups and exercise their lower bodies by running into one another. Quilladin is not aggressive and would rather starve than steal food from other Pokémon. Quilladin's shell is made of hard wood that can deflect most attacks. It evolves from Chespin starting at level 16 and evolves into Chesnaught starting at level 36.
