Braixen (テールナー) is a Fire-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI. It is the evolved form of Fennekin and evolves into Delphox. Braixen is a bipedal, fox-like Pokémon with primarily bright yellow fur, a black lower body, and a collar of fluffy white fur around its neck and chest. It has long, pointed ears with bright orange tufts of fur, and its tail has a twig embedded in it. Braixen uses friction from its tail fur to light the twig, wielding it as a wand for attacks and signaling. This twig is also a source of comfort, and losing it can cause anxiety and anger. Braixen uses its flaming twig to communicate with others. Its design is inspired by the fennec fox and the kitsune from Japanese mythology. Its fur pattern also resembles seifuku, the uniform worn by Japanese schoolgirls.
