Clauncher (Japanese: ウデッポウ Udeppou) is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI. It resembles a bright blue shrimp or lobster, and its most prominent feature is the oversized claw on its right arm. This claw is not only used for seizing prey but also for firing powerful jets of compressed water, like a pistol, to knock down flying targets and even shatter rocks. Clauncher's body is segmented with a vivid blue color, complemented by yellow antennae and eyes, and black stripes along its back and claws. It has a white underbelly and four small blue feet. The large claw makes Clauncher poorly balanced, hindering its ability to swim straight; it often propels itself by jetting water from this claw. Clauncher's claw may occasionally fall off during battle, but it can regenerate. The meat inside its claws is considered a delicacy, especially in the Galar and Paldea regions.
