Tyrantrum, known as Gachigoras in Japanese, is a dual-type Rock/Dragon Fossil Pokémon introduced in Generation VI with Pokémon X and Y. It evolves from Tyrunt when leveled up during the day starting at level 39. Tyrantrum resembles a massive bipedal dinosaur, akin to a Tyrannosaurus Rex. It features craggy auburn rock-like scales covering most of its body, a gray and white underbelly, and a large spiny white fringe around its neck. Its forelimbs are small with sharp black claws, while its hind legs are powerfully built with three claws on each foot. The lower jaw is filled with sharp teeth, and the upper jaw has red, fang-like projections. Tyrantrum sports an orange spiked crest on its forehead and small white eyes. Its jaws are incredibly powerful, capable of shredding thick metal plates as if they were paper. Tyrantrum was considered invincible in the ancient world it once inhabited and is often seen as a king-like figure. With a bite force strong enough to crush cars, it dominated ancient jungles, establishing itself as a formidable Pokémon and a prominent figure among Fossil Pokémon. Its design is inspired by the Tyrannosaurus Rex, combined with elements of an ancient king.
