Hawlucha (Japanese: ルチャブル Luchabull) is a dual-type Fighting/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation VI. It does not evolve. Hawlucha is a bipedal, birdlike Pokémon with colorful plumage. Its head curves into a beak-shape, with a blue-green mask-like marking across its face, orange rings around its eyes, and a small, red patch at the tip of its beak. It has cape-like wings with green undersides, connected to its feathery tail, and three-clawed hands near the tip of each wing. Hawlucha, despite its small size, is proficient in fighting, keeping up with larger fighters like Machamp and Hariyama. It leaps around to stay in its opponent's blind spots, controlling its position in the air with its wings, often striking from above. However, Hawlucha has a tendency to show off, which opponents can exploit. In Paldea, Primeape is Hawlucha's natural enemy. It is the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Flying Press by leveling up. Hawlucha has made notable appearances in the Pokémon anime, notably as a member of Ash's team.
