Phantump, known as ボクレー in Japanese, is a dual-type Ghost/Grass Pokémon introduced in Generation VI. It resembles a haunted tree stump, with twisted branches and green leaves sprouting from its head. According to legend, Phantump are formed when the spirits of children who died lost in the forest possess rotten tree stumps. These shy Pokémon prefer to reside in abandoned forests and are known to make sounds similar to a child's cries. Phantump evolves into Trevenant when traded. In games, Phantump learns a variety of moves by leveling up, and can acquire additional moves through breeding and TMs. It has the abilities Natural Cure and Frisk, with its hidden ability being Harvest. Pokédex entries describe Phantump's preference for quiet forests and its attempts to befriend people by mimicking a child's voice.
