Pikipek (ツツケラ) is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation VII of the Pokémon series. It resembles a woodpecker, with black plumage, white feathers, blue eyes, a red stripe atop its head, and black-and-white markings. Pikipek has a gray beak with a black tip and gray feet. This Pokémon is known for its strong neck muscles, which enable it to peck at trees 16 times per second. They drill holes in trees to store food and collect small, shiny objects. Pikipek can also launch seeds from its beak to attack foes, embedding them in tree trunks with great force. It evolves into Trumbeak at level 14 and then into Toucannon at level 28. Pikipek uses pecking sounds to communicate with each other, different rhythms carrying different meanings. Additionally, Pikipek has a fondness for shiny objects and often stores them in tree hollows.
