Trumbeak, known as Kerarappa in Japanese, is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. It evolves from Pikipek starting at level 14 and evolves into Toucannon starting at level 28. Trumbeak resembles a medium-sized woodpecker with black feathers, white markings on its chest and under its wings, and a jagged red band around its neck. Its beak is orange with a black tip and a red band in the middle. This flexible beak can bend and produce over a hundred different calls. Trumbeak feeds on berries and stores their seeds in its beak. When it encounters enemies or prey, it fires off all the seeds in a burst. The scattered seeds give rise to new plants. Its cries can be a noisy nuisance to its neighbors. In the anime, Trumbeak is often shown as a leader within a flock of Pikipek, demonstrating its diligent and caring nature. The name "Trumbeak" is a combination of "trumpet" and "beak", highlighting both the shape of its beak and the trumpet-like sounds it produces.
