Crabrawler (Japanese: マケンカニ Makenkani) is a Fighting-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. It is a crustacean Pokémon resembling a crab, primarily purple with blue and yellow accents. It has two long, yellow antennae and large blue pincers that look like boxing gloves. Crabrawler is competitive and hates to lose, using its claws to protect its face and belly. Its pincers often break from overuse but grow back quickly. It strives for higher social standing and physical positions, clinging to buildings or people, and will attack those who try to remove it. It usually punches trees to get ripe berries and also preys on Exeggcute. Sometimes, it mistakes Exeggutor for a coconut tree. Crabrawler evolves into Crabominable when leveled up at Mount Lanakila or when exposed to an Ice Stone. It's inspired by coconut crabs and boxers, with its pincers' colors possibly referencing boxing corners. The name "Crabrawler" combines "crab" and "brawler," while its Japanese name might combine "makenki" (competitive spirit), "kenka" (fight), and "kani" (crab).
