Mareanie

Mareanie (Japanese: ヒドイデ Hidoide) is a dual-type Poison/Water Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. It resembles a sea anemone with a purple body, blue spiky tentacles, and a large yellow spine on its head. Mareanie dwells along the ocean floor near coastal areas, using its head spike to paralyze prey and its tentacles to capture it. They are known to feed on Corsola branches, which makes them disliked by craftspeople. Mareanie has remarkable regenerative abilities, able to regrow lost limbs overnight, except for its head. In the anime, a Mareanie develops affection for Team Rocket's James and joins the team. Mareanie evolves into Toxapex starting at level 38. Mareanie is considered to be based on a crown-of-thorns starfish, a venomous starfish that preys on coral polyps.
