Morelull, known as Nemashu in Japanese, is a dual-type Grass/Fairy Pokémon introduced in Generation VII in Pokémon Sun and Moon. It resembles a small, white mushroom, and is one of the shortest Grass-type Pokémon. Morelull has large, black eyes with pale green half-circle markings on their outer sides. It also has small bumps around the top of its head which are similar to hair. Its head is much larger than its thin, stem-like body. The base of its stem splits into three green roots that act as feet. Three large mushrooms sprout from the center of its head, with the center one being light pink and the other two light purplish-blue. Morelull prefers dark, damp areas and changes locations every night to avoid depriving one area of nutrients. It uses its roots to communicate with other Morelull. When in danger, it scatters spores that burst into bright, glittering sparks, with the light from these spores inducing drowsiness. It is rumored that a group of Morelull once caused a near plane disaster by releasing their spores. The caps on Morelull’s head are a delicacy for forest Pokémon and can regrow overnight. Morelull evolves into Shiinotic at level 24.
