Shiinotic (Japanese: マシェード, Hepburn: Masheedo) is a dual-type Grass/Fairy Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. It evolves from Morelull starting at level 24. Shiinotic resembles a large mushroom, with a slender white body and a purple cap. It has black eyes with pale green markings and a thick, black mouth. Its long, thin arms split into three pale green filaments, which act as fingers. The lower part of its body and stubby feet are covered in pink fluff. The mushroom cap has a pink rim, pale green bumps, and a pale green, gilled underside. Shiinotic inhabits dark forests and competes with Parasect for territory, often covering the area in spores during battles. It emits spores that cause drowsiness, and it feeds by draining energy from sleeping prey through its fingertips. It can also transfer energy to other weakened Shiinotic. Its design is likely based on bioluminescent mushrooms, and its Fairy-type may be inspired by the 'fairy rings' that mushrooms sometimes form. The name Shiinotic may be derived from words like Shiitake, shine, and hypnotic.
