Bounsweet, known as Amakaji in Japanese, is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. It is a small, round Pokémon that resembles a mangosteen, primarily magenta in color with a white, skirt-like structure at its base. It has three green leaves on its head and no arms. Bounsweet emits a sweet aroma from its entire body, making it popular in the Alola region where it's often used as a living air freshener. However, this aroma also attracts bird Pokémon, often leading to it being swallowed whole. When fleeing danger, it skips along the ground, but its movements don't convey its fear, so help rarely arrives. Bounsweet secretes a calming fragrance and its sweat can be diluted into juice. It evolves into Steenee at level 18 and then into Tsareena when leveled up while knowing the move Stomp. The Japanese name "Amakaji" combines "amai (sweet)," "kajitsu (fruit)," and "ji (child)," while its English name, "Bounsweet," combines "bounce" and "sweet."
