Golisopod, known as Gusokumusha in Japanese, is a dual-type Bug/Water Pokémon introduced in Generation VII of the Pokémon franchise. It evolves from Wimpod starting at level 30. Golisopod is a large, bipedal arthropod Pokémon with a pale purple body covered in silver armor plating. It has a domed carapace on its head and back, six arms – two large and clawed, and four smaller and vestigial – and a section of exoskeleton on its lower body resembling a loincloth. Golisopod are very strong and intelligent, a stark contrast to its pre-evolution Wimpod. It will do anything to win, taking advantage of any openings, and will retreat if the situation becomes too dangerous. Its ability, Emergency Exit, activates when its HP drops to half or less, forcing it to switch out. Golisopod's design is inspired by the giant isopod, with elements of sumo wrestlers and samurai armor.
