Type: Null (タイプ:ヌル) is a Normal-type Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. It is an artificial Pokémon created by the Aether Foundation to combat Ultra Beasts. Its body is a chimera, combining features of various creatures. It has a black, cat-like body, insect or bird-like green claws on its front legs, purple scales on its hind legs, a blue fin-like tail, and a mane of gray fur around its neck. Its head is covered by a heavy metal helmet that restricts its power. Type: Null evolves into Silvally when it levels up with high friendship. In the Pokémon anime, Gladion's Type: Null eventually evolves into Silvally. Type: Null's design may be based on mythical creatures such as griffins or chimeras. The ring around its helmet may also reference the ring around Arceus. In games, Type: Null is often associated with Gladion. It was originally designed to fight against Ultra Beasts, but due to it going berserk, it was fitted with a limiting helmet and renamed Type: Null. It appears in numerous Pokémon games, including Pokémon Sun/Moon and Pokémon Sword/Shield. Type: Null can evolve into Silvally through leveling up with high friendship, and can learn a variety of different moves.
