Tapu Lele (Japanese: カプ・テテフ Kapu-Tetefu) is a dual-type Psychic/Fairy Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. It is one of the guardian deities of the Alola region, specifically the guardian of Akala Island. Tapu Lele has a butterfly-like appearance, with a black upper body featuring white markings, pink, tentacle-like hair, and a light pink shell encasing its lower body. It is known for scattering glowing scales that can stimulate and heal others, but these scales can also be dangerous if overexposed. Tapu Lele is often described as innocently cruel, scattering its scales for amusement without remorse for the damage it causes. Its power is said to come from the energy stored within its shell. Tapu Lele prioritizes avoiding defeat in battle rather than seeking a decisive victory. In games, it's capable of using the move Nature's Madness, and the Z-Move Guardian of Alola.
