Blipbug (サッチムシ) is a Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII. It resembles a caterpillar, with the top half of its head being dark blue and the bottom half being peach, and it has large, glasses-like eyes. It has three pairs of hairs on its head and sides, a blue “collar” around its neck, and four yellow hairs in front. Its body is segmented into white, yellow, and a larger blue section, and it has four peach-colored legs. Blipbug uses the hairs on its body to gather information about its surroundings. It evolves into Dottler starting at level 10 and then into Orbeetle starting at level 30. Blipbug is intelligent but physically weak. It is often found in gardens. Its name "Blipbug" combines "blip" (a small dot on a radar) and "bug," while its Japanese name, "Sacchimushi," comes from "satchi" (sense) and "mushi" (bug).
