Eldegoss

Eldegoss, known as Watashiraga (ワタシラガ) in Japanese, is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII in Pokémon Sword and Shield. It is the evolved form of Gossifleur. Eldegoss has a light green head with amber-brownish eyes and dark green triangles above them. Its lower body consists of a yellow cloak-like upper part and a darker green dress-like lower part. A green crest on its head connects the cotton fluff atop Eldegoss, where brown seeds are scattered. Eldegoss uses its cotton fluff as a cushion, protecting its head from attacks. The cotton can also be spun into a glossy yarn, a specialty in the Galar region. The seeds within the cotton are highly nutritious, benefiting both humans and Pokémon. Eldegoss spreads these seeds on the wind, enriching the soil of the Galar region. In the games, Eldegoss evolves from Gossifleur starting at level 20. It has appeared multiple times in the anime and is a playable character in Pokémon UNITE. Eldegoss's design is possibly inspired by cotton, anemone seedpods, and elderly women, with its Japanese name combining the words for cotton and white hair.
