Silicobra (Japanese: スナヘビ Sunahebi) is a Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII. It resembles a small snake, primarily brownish white with darker spots and a curled tail tip. It has green eyes with black pupils, surrounded by brown spots and a prominent brow ridge, giving it a frowning appearance. Silicobra has a dark yellow pouch around its neck, capable of storing over 17 pounds (8 kg) of sand. The pouch becomes more elastic with each shed. It collects sand by swallowing it and shoots sand from its nostrils to blind predators before burrowing to escape. Its nostrils are specialized for sand shooting, giving it a poor sense of smell. Silicobra evolves into Sandaconda at level 36. Silicobra's design may be inspired by cobras and other desert snakes like rattlesnakes and sidewinders. Its neck pouch resembles a cobra's hood, and its sand-shooting defense may be based on spitting cobras.
