Sandaconda (Japanese: サダイジャ Sadaija) is a Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII. It evolves from Silicobra starting at level 36. Sandaconda resembles a coiled serpent with a tan body and black and brown patterns similar to cracked earth. It has a dark greenish-brown ring around its neck, which is its neck pouch. Its nostrils resemble gun barrels, and it sprays sand from them. Sandaconda’s neck pouch can store over 220 pounds (100 kilograms) of sand and is very resilient, protecting its head from harm. Sandaconda contracts its body to spray the stored sand out of its nose, using its coiling method for more efficient sand blasting. Some of this sand mixes with its saliva to form sharp gravel, causing lacerations upon contact. Sandaconda acts tough but becomes timid when it runs out of sand. Sandaconda can Gigantamax into Gigantamax Sandaconda, where it stands upright and its body coils like a tornado surrounded by vast amounts of sand. Gigantamax Sandaconda is the only Pokémon capable of using the G-Max move G-Max Sandblast.
