Cramorant (Japanese: ウッウ, U'u) is a dual-type Flying/Water Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII. It resembles a cormorant, with a blue body, bright green eyes, and a long yellow beak. Cramorant has a gray bib-like ruff of feathers around its neck. It is known for its gluttony and indiscriminate eating habits, attempting to swallow anything that fits in its mouth. Its preferred prey is Arrokuda, but it sometimes mistakes other Pokémon such as Pikachu. Cramorant's unique ability, Gulp Missile, allows it to return from using Surf or Dive holding either an Arrokuda or a Pikachu depending on its remaining HP. Upon being hit, it spits out the Pokémon, damaging the attacker with additional effects. Although powerful, Cramorant is forgetful, sometimes losing track of whom it is battling mid-fight. However, it never forgets a trainer it trusts. Cramorant does not evolve, but it can change forms using its Gulp Missile ability to Gulping Form (holding Arrokuda) and Gorging Form (holding Pikachu). Cramorant is inspired by the cormorant and fulmar, two seabirds found in the British Isles. Its shiny variant's orange color is a possible reference to curry-stained seagulls that have been reported in the UK.
