Perrserker, known in Japanese as Nyaiking (ニャイキング), is a Steel-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII in Pokémon Sword and Shield. It evolves from Galarian Meowth starting at level 28, instead of Persian. Perrserker retains its bipedal stance from Meowth, but its head and limbs have hardened into natural armor. Its head hair forms horned, Viking-helmet-like structures that cover its ears and part of its eyes, incorporating the coin on its head. Its claws have grown longer and harder, functioning like daggers. Perrserker is known for its aggressive and ruthless nature, relishing battles and attacking weaker opponents mercilessly. They enter a berserker-like state during combat, ignoring pain and trainer commands. There's a mutual disdain between Perrserker, its pre-evolution, and Persian. Notably, Perrserker and its evolutionary line are the only Pokémon that learn the move Pay Day by leveling up, and Perrserker is the only Pokémon with the Steely Spirit Ability. Perrserker’s design draws inspiration from cats and Viking warriors, possibly mirroring the berserker’s fighting style.
