Dracozolt (Japanese: パッチラゴン Patchiragon) is a dual-type Electric/Dragon Fossil Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII. It is revived by combining the Fossilized Bird and Fossilized Drake. Its design is inspired by early, inaccurate reconstructions of fossils, particularly the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs in England. Dracozolt’s upper half is yellow, resembling a small bipedal dinosaur, while its lower half is green with pink stripes, like a quadrupedal dinosaur. It generates electricity with its powerful tail muscles. It is believed to have gone extinct due to overgrazing on plant-based foods, though this might be a misconception given its composite nature. Dracozolt is unable to breed, possibly referencing the infertility of hybrid animals. In the games, it does not evolve and has the unique move "Bolt Beak". Dracozolt has received attention for its unique design and competitive viability, despite its odd appearance. Its name, "Dracozolt," combines "draco" (Latin for dragon) with "volt/jolt," and the Japanese name "Patchiragon" combines the Japanese onomatopoeia “pachipachi” (crackling sparks) with “dragon.”
