Arctozolt, known as Patchirudon in Japanese, is a dual-type Electric/Ice Fossil Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII. It is revived by combining a Fossilized Bird and a Fossilized Dino. Arctozolt has a distinctive appearance with a yellow head featuring five spikes and always closed eyes, blue cheeks and mouth interior. Its body is mainly blue with a snow-like patch on top, from which its two hands hang. Its lower body resembles walrus flippers, and its tail is fish-like. It is said to generate electricity through the shivering of its frozen upper body. Arctozolt's design is inspired by the concept of chimeras in paleontology. Its upper half may be based on dromaeosaurid dinosaurs, while its lower half resembles a plesiosaur or other marine reptiles. It may also be a reference to the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs, scientifically inaccurate dinosaur sculptures. Arctozolt is unable to breed, possibly a reference to the infertility of hybrid animals. In the anime, Arctozolt debuted in "A Pinch of This, a Pinch of That!" and was caught by Goh.
