Drakloak (Japanese: ドロンチ Doronchi) is a dual-type Dragon/Ghost Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII. It evolves from Dreepy starting at level 50 and evolves into Dragapult starting at level 60. Drakloak resembles a lizard, with a wide, black-colored head with two vertical horns and several red triangle-shaped markings. It has yellow eyes, while the underside of its mouth is light blue. The rest of its body is also light blue, and its belly is yellow with a red, upside-down V-shaped spot. Drakloak carries a Dreepy on its head, which it cares for and battles alongside, until the Dreepy evolves. If it lacks a Dreepy to care for, it becomes uneasy and tries to find a substitute. Drakloak can fly at speeds greater than 120 mph (200 km/h). It attacks by firing energy blasts from its lungs. Drakloak's design may be based on the Diplocaulus, an extinct amphibian, along with elements of fighter aircraft and crossbows. The Japanese name “Doronchi” may come from “dragon” and “launch.”
