Skeledirge (Japanese: ラウドボーン Laudbon) is a dual-type Fire/Ghost Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It evolves from Crocalor starting at level 36, and is the final evolution of Fuecoco. This crocodilian Pokémon has a primarily red body with a white underside, lined with black. It features a row of white square scales on its back and a long snout with red, purple, yellow, and orange markings. Unique to Skeledirge is a fiery bird resting on its head, which is a separate, independent entity that is the reason for Skeledirge's Ghost typing. When Skeledirge sings, this bird transforms into a microphone-like shape and powers up with fiery wings to attack opponents. Skeledirge's singing is gentle and soothing, but it can also unleash flames reaching 3000°C. Its design draws inspiration from various sources including prehistoric crocodiles, the symbiotic relationship between plovers and crocodiles, Spanish folklore involving spectral crocodiles, and Mexican Day of the Dead traditions with calavera imagery and alebrije art. Skeledirge's signature move is Torch Song, a Fire-type special attack that boosts its Sp. Atk stat.
