Quaquaval (Japanese: ウェーニバル Wanival) is a dual-type Water/Fighting Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It is the final evolution of Quaxly. Quaquaval has a slender, humanoid body with a plump rump, dark blue plumage, and a long light blue chain of feathers on its tail. It has a large red "W" on its head. This Pokémon is known for its cheerful and energetic nature, with a passion for dance, drawing inspiration from far-off lands. In battle, it uses its decorative water feathers to spin around its body like a buzzsaw to cut enemies, while its powerful legs can launch a truck with a single kick. Despite its upbeat demeanor, Quaquaval is serious about training and incredibly focused in critical situations. It's the only Pokémon that can learn the move Aqua Step. Its design draws inspiration from peacocks, crested ducks, and carnival dancers, blending the words "quack", "aqua", and "carnival" in its name.
