Spidops, known as Wanaider in Japanese, is a Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It evolves from Tarountula starting at level 15. Spidops resembles a net-casting spider, with eight long, slender legs that can be paired to give a humanoid stance. Its body is mostly beige brown with pine green markings on its face, forelimbs, and chest, the latter patterned like a vest. Spidops has an oval head with black eyes, squinted white pupils, and four eye-like protrusions on each side, along with rhombus-shaped pedipalps and shield-like chelicerae. The abdomen is cylindrical and wrapped in white silk resembling a spool of yarn. It is a covert ambush predator that uses sticky silk threads to move silently and cling to surfaces. It hangs upside-down from silk, then spins a net with its forelegs to ensnare prey. Spidops is the only known Pokémon capable of learning Silk Trap. It is inspired by net-casting spiders and special ops forces, known for setting silken traps and sparring against Scyther.
