Tandemaus, known as Wakkanezumi in Japanese, is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX of the Pokémon series. It consists of two small white mouse-like Pokémon, always seen together as a pair and considered a "couple Pokémon." One of them has a fur pattern resembling a shirt, while the other has one resembling pants. They are known for their excellent teamwork, working closely together whether foraging for food or building their nest. Tandemaus uses its incisors to cut materials for nesting and shares food equally with its partner. They evolve into Maushold at level 25, with a 99% chance of evolving into the Family of Four form and a 1% chance of evolving into the Family of Three form. Tandemaus and its evolved form, Maushold, are the only Pokémon capable of learning the move Population Bomb. They appear to be based on a pair of mice, and their appearance resembles dollhouse figurines. They are also thought to be based on the combination of the German word "Maus" (mouse) and "tandem."
