Maschiff

Maschiff (Japanese: オラチフ Orachifu) is a Dark-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It is a small, quadrupedal, canine Pokémon with a brown body, a dark gray snout and underside. It has yellow tufts of fur on its head and back; the head fur resembles a crest, and the back fur extends to the tail. Maschiff has droopy triangular ears with yellow insides, black beady eyes below two protuberances on its forehead that give it a constant anxious expression. It has a rounded triangular orange nose, and a large mouth with strong jaws and sharp fangs that can crush boulders. Maschiff always tilts its head and makes a big scowl to appear threatening, although this is ineffective even towards children. It evolves into Mabosstiff starting at level 30. Despite its Pokédex entry stating it has thick fat, it cannot legitimately have the Thick Fat ability. Maschiff may be based on the words 'mischief' and 'Mastiff', a breed of dog.
