Grafaiai (タギングル, Taginguru) is a dual-type Poison/Normal Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It evolves from Shroodle starting at level 28. Grafaiai is a small primate Pokémon resembling a lemur, specifically the aye-aye or a slow loris. The top half of its body is mostly black, resembling a hoodie, while its forearms and bottom half are dark bluish-gray, with white stripes on its thighs and bushy tail, and two white toes on its feet. It has a white face with large ears, huge yellow-green eyes, purple eyelids, and a short snout with four nostrils and sharp incisors. Its most notable feature is its hands, each with three fingers, the middle one being much longer than the others. These fingers are coated in Grafaiai's poisonous saliva, with the finger on its right hand always having two drops of saliva hanging from it. Grafaiai is moody, attentive to detail, solitary, and often engages in territorial fights with other Pokémon, including other Grafaiai. Its saliva is brightly colored and poisonous, changing based on its diet of berries and Bug-type Pokémon. It attacks by spitting saliva or slashing with poison-coated fingers. When threatened, its poison concentrates, immobilizing victims for around three days. Grafaiai is nocturnal, licking its fingers with toxic saliva at night to draw patterns on trees, marking territory and attracting Bug Pokémon, which are paralyzed, then collected by Grafaiai at dawn. Each Grafaiai has a unique signature pattern repeated throughout its life.
