Toedscruel, known as Rikukurage in Japanese, is a dual-type Ground/Grass Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It evolves from Toedscool starting at level 30. Toedscruel closely resembles the Water/Poison-type Tentacruel, but they are not biologically related; this similarity is considered convergent evolution. Toedscruel has a black mushroom cap-like upper body with three pink circular protrusions. Its lower body is beige, with ten tentacle-like structures that are yellow at the tips. Toedscruel lives deep within forests, usually in colonies, and is hostile towards strangers. It wraps prey with its tentacles to suck out nutrients, causing them pain. Instead of walking, Toedscruel jumps forward using its springy tentacles. Ecologically, it's similar to Tentacruel but is a separate species. The Japanese name “Rikukurage” translates to “land jellyfish”, emphasizing its jellyfish-like appearance on land.
