Rabsca (Japanese: ベラカス Beracas) is a dual-type Bug/Psychic Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It evolves from Rellor. Rabsca resembles a teal beetle that floats upside down, with red markings on its back and white, hair-like protrusions from its face. It carries a large, purple, semi-translucent ball above its head with its hind legs. This ball appears to contain an infant, and Rabsca gently rolls it to help the infant sleep comfortably. Some speculate that the body supporting the ball is merely a proxy, and the true body of Rabsca is within the ball. Rabsca's design is inspired by dung beetles, especially the sacred scarab, and the Egyptian god Khepri, associated with the rising sun. Its Japanese name, Berakasu, is a reversal of “sukarabe” (scarab in Japanese), while the English name Rabsca is a transposition of the syllables in “scarab”.
