Palafin

Palafin (Japanese: イルカマン Irukaman) is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX, evolving from Finizen. It has two forms: Zero Form and Hero Form. Zero Form resembles Finizen with a heart-shaped mark on its chest. Hero Form is more robust, bipedal, and has a shield-like heart symbol. Palafin’s unique ability, Zero to Hero, transforms it into Hero Form when switched out during battle, significantly boosting its Attack, Defense, Special Attack, and Special Defense stats while maintaining the same HP and Speed. In Hero Form, Palafin possesses immense strength, capable of lifting a cruise ship and swimming at 50 knots. It is known as the 'Pelagic Protector,' saving those in need, such as drowning people and Pokémon. Palafin’s design draws inspiration from dolphins and superheroes, with its Zero Form symbolizing a superhero's civilian identity and its Hero Form representing their true power. The Japanese name 'Irukaman' combines 'iruka' (dolphin) and 'man,' reflecting its heroic nature.
