Cetoddle (Japanese: アルクジラ Arukujira) is an Ice-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It is a round, white cetacean Pokémon with large eyes, a curved mouth, fin-like forelimbs, a large tail, and two stubby legs. There are pink accents around its eyes, on its hands, below its feet, and on its tail, and it has a single horn on its forehead. When Cetoddle opens its mouth, a single rounded tooth can be seen on its lower jaw. Cetoddle is thought to be a close relative of Wailmer, but unlike Wailmer's evolution from land to sea, Cetoddle migrated from the ocean to land. It lives in cold regions in pods of about five and enjoys eating minerals found in snow and ice. Cetoddle can learn Ice Spinner by leveling up and is the only Pokémon to learn it this way. It evolves into Cetitan when exposed to an Ice Stone. Cetoddle's design is inspired by various Arctic cetaceans like the bowhead whale, beluga, and narwhal, and its migration history is the inverse of real-life cetacean evolution. Its name is likely a combination of "cetus" (Latin for whale) and "toddle".
