Dondozo (Japanese: ヘイラッシャ Heyrusher) is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon. Dondozo is a large, piscine Pokémon with a three-toned body: light blue on top, dark blue in the middle, and white on its belly, upper lip, and fins. It has a ring of six frills on its head, the two rightmost ones are longer and flat-tipped, resembling a hachimaki. Its face features a short, nose-like protrusion, dark blue lips, a blue tongue, long barbels above its upper lip, and five barbels on its lower jaw, one of which is longer and curled. Dondozo interacts with Tatsugiri in Double Battles via its signature move, Order Up, and Tatsugiri's signature Ability, Commander. Dondozo is a heavy eater and, while powerful, is dull and not a good hunter, leading it to team up with Tatsugiri. Tatsugiri baits prey by playing dead, then commands Dondozo to attack. Dondozo is loyal to Tatsugiri, acting as its subordinate, protecting it inside its mouth from enemies. Basculin is among Dondozo's prey. A giant Dondozo, along with a giant Tatsugiri, are known as the False Dragon Titan, one of the Titan Pokémon found in the Paldea region.
