Clodsire, known as ドオー (Do'oo) in Japanese, is a dual-type Poison/Ground Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It is a quadrupedal, amphibious Pokémon with a round body, dark brown on the top and light brown on the bottom, forming a wave-like pattern where the two colors meet. Clodsire has black beady eyes, a large mouth, and small nostrils. Its four legs are stubby and have three toes each. A short dorsal fin runs from its lower back to its stout tail. Clodsire shares many similarities with its non-Paldean relative, Quagsire. On its back are six light purple spots, from which large, thick, light purple spines protrude when attacked, a risky defense mechanism. Clodsire inhabits deep ponds and swamps, often carrying Paldean Wooper on its back to help them cross water. Clodsire's design is inspired by the Iberian ribbed newt, known for its ability to extend its sharp ribs and coat them with poison for defense. It also resembles a giant salamander and a smooth-head blobfish.
