Iron Treads (Japanese: テツノワダチ), is a dual-type Ground/Steel Paradox Pokémon introduced in Generation IX, and has a Pokédex number of #990. It is a futuristic relative of Donphan, and is considered to be the counterpart to the ancient Great Tusk. Iron Treads does not evolve and is in the Undiscovered Egg Group. It has a spherical gray metallic body, a black underbelly, and short black tusks on its face with a black half-moon pixelated screen, which usually displays angry red eye patterns. Its most prominent feature is a segmented tread jutting out from its back, extending to the front of its face, with black treads and bright red glowing patterns. Iron Treads is said to be of a cruel nature, capable of quickly curling up into a wheel to attack at high speed, and will rock back and forth when sleeping. The trails it leaves behind are described as similar to scorched earth. Rumors suggest it is a weapon using alien technology, though this remains unproven. It was first discovered 200 years ago in Area Zero and recorded by the Area Zero Expedition team in the Violet Book. Iron Treads also appears in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, where it is encountered as the Quaking Earth Titan.
