Iron Thorns (Japanese: テツノイバラ, Tetsunoibara) is a Rock/Electric-type Paradox Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It is considered a future relative of Tyranitar, appearing as a large, metallic, green dinosaur with crystalline spikes on its back and torso. Iron Thorns does not evolve and is in the Undiscovered Egg Group. It is known for its coolheaded nature and preference to avoid unnecessary battles. Speculated to be a Tyranitar from one billion years in the future, Iron Thorns has metallic armor plating and retractable spikes. Its body parts emit a green glow, which turns black when it sleeps. Iron Thorns also appears as a card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game and as a tag in the Pokémon Mezastar arcade game.
