Gimmighoul (Japanese: コレクレー, Korekurei) is a Ghost-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX of the Pokémon series. It has two forms: Chest Form and Roaming Form. Chest Form Gimmighoul resides inside a red treasure chest, manipulating nearby people or Pokémon to collect coins for it. Roaming Form Gimmighoul carries an ancient coin on its back and is often found hiding throughout the Paldea region. These two forms are distinguished primarily by their habits and personalities. Gimmighoul evolves into Gholdengo when leveled up while holding 999 Gimmighoul Coins. It cannot breed through traditional Pokémon methods. Gimmighoul is believed to be based on the ghoul from Western mythology and the mimic monster archetype from RPGs, with its coin theme possibly inspired by legends of ancient treasures and wealth. The Roaming Form of Gimmighoul can be caught in Pokémon GO and transferred to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet via the GO Transporter.
