Ting-Lu, known as Dinlu in Japanese, is a Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation IX of the Pokémon series. It is a dual-type Dark/Ground Pokémon and is one of the four members of the Ruinous Quartet. Ting-Lu resembles a moose with a humped back, four legs, and a body made of layered stone. It carries a green bowl on its head that appears to be made of oxidized iron. Similar to the other Treasures of Ruin, this bowl is actually Ting-Lu's true form, brought to life by ancient fears, and has covered itself in thick layers of rocks and dirt. Ting-Lu is known for its immense power, capable of creating fissures over 160 feet deep by slowly lowering its head to the ground. It and the other Treasures of Ruin are the only Pokémon able to learn the move Ruination. Ting-Lu is also the only Pokémon with the Ability Vessel of Ruin. Its design seems to be inspired by moose, deer and ancient Chinese cauldrons called 'ding', and its name is a combination of the Chinese words 'dǐng' and 'lù', meaning cauldron and deer.
