Hydrapple (Japanese: カミツオロチ Kamitsuorochi) is a dual-type Grass/Dragon Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It evolves from Dipplin and is one of Applin's final forms, alongside Flapple and Appletun. Hydrapple is a large candy apple-like Pokémon that houses seven symbiotic creatures known as 'syrpents'. Typically, three syrpents are visible: the central one with two horns, one of which has an apple impaled on it, and two tails emerging from the rear. The other four are usually hidden within the syrup, occasionally revealing their eyes. Hydrapple moves by the two tail syrpents pushing the body. The syrpents have fickle temperaments and rarely cooperate, but when their moods align, Hydrapple unleashes its full power. Hydrapple is the only Pokémon that can learn the move Syrup Bomb and the only Pokémon that can have the ability Supersweet Syrup. It is also the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Fickle Beam. Its design appears to be inspired by multi-headed serpents, such as the Yamata no Orochi and the Lernaean Hydra, as well as candy apples and dragon imagery.
