Trace

Trace, also known as Shin, is a character in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!, serving as the rival to the player, analogous to Blue from the original games. Trace is a brown-haired, brown-eyed boy who carries a white backpack with red details. He wears a dark gray, short-sleeved jumper shirt with a black front neck drop, green leggings with white arrow details on each side, black socks, and red, black, and white sneakers. Trace is cheerful and enthusiastic, showing respect to trainers even when he loses. He hails from Pallet Town, and like the player, begins his journey after being called to Professor Oak's lab to receive his first Pokémon. His starter is Eevee/Pikachu, which eventually evolves into Jolteon/Raichu. During his adventure, Trace assists the player in their fight against Team Rocket and in Lavender Town meets the son of a Marowak, helping it calm its mother’s spirit and later adopts it. He ultimately becomes the Pokémon League Champion, only to be defeated by the player. Afterwards, he keeps rematching the player at the Pokémon League in an attempt to regain his title.
