Gold/Ethan

Ethan, also known as Gold, is the male protagonist of the second generation Pokémon games and their remakes, known as Hibiki in Japanese. He is the main character in Pokémon Gold and Silver, and the male selectable protagonist in Pokémon Crystal and Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver. In the games, Ethan's rival is Silver. He is known for his role as Gold in the Pokémon Adventures manga and as Jimmy in the anime. Ethan's journey begins when he is tasked by Professor Elm to deliver a message to Mr. Pokémon, choosing a starter Pokémon along the way. He then embarks on a journey to challenge gym leaders, defeat Team Rocket, and eventually become the Champion of the Kanto region. If Lyra is chosen as the protagonist in HeartGold & SoulSilver, Ethan appears as an NPC, offering guidance and assistance. He is characterized by his fair skin, grey eyes, and short, glossy black hair. Ethan is often depicted as an energetic and nature-loving trainer.
