Whitney

Whitney (Japanese: Akane) is a prominent character in the Pokémon series, first introduced in Pokémon Gold and Silver. She is the Gym Leader of Goldenrod City, specializing in Normal-type Pokémon. Whitney is known for her cute appearance and somewhat capricious personality, described as the "Incredibly Pretty Girl!" in the games. Despite being a relatively new Gym Leader, her talent has earned her recognition from the Pokémon League. Her gym is filled with young girls who use cute Normal-type Pokémon like Meowth. Challengers must navigate a maze-like gym to reach her. Whitney’s signature Pokémon is her powerful Miltank, notorious for its high defense and Rollout attack, often proving difficult for players. After defeat, Whitney cries over her loss and requires time to calm down before awarding challengers the Plain Badge and TM45 (Attract). Whitney appears in various Pokémon media, including the anime, manga, and trading card game, making her a popular character among fans.
