Pryce

Pryce (Japanese: ヤナギ, Yanagi) is a prominent character in the Pokémon series, first appearing in games like Pokémon Gold and Silver. He is the Gym Leader of Mahogany Town, specializing in Ice-type Pokémon and known as "The Teacher of Winter's Harshness." Pryce is an elderly Trainer with over fifty years of experience, his Pokémon having been with him for many years. To challenge his Gym, players must first resolve the Team Rocket incident and calm the Gyarados at the Lake of Rage. In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, players can find him at Lake of Rage at specific times for rematches. Pryce also appears in the anime, where his past experiences contribute to his cold demeanor, which changes after reuniting with his Pokémon Piloswine.
