Tate and Liza

Tate and Liza (Japanese: フウ and ラン) are characters appearing in the Pokémon series. They are the twin Gym Leaders of Mossdeep City in the Hoenn region, specializing in Psychic-type Pokémon. In the games, they are unique for conducting Gym battles as a Double Battle. Tate and Liza share a near-identical appearance, both being children with dark blue hair, fair skin, and gray eyes. Liza, the older sister, has pigtails, while Tate does not. Their attire resembles Chinese Shaolin monks' clothing, adorned with star symbols on their chests. They possess distinct personalities, with Liza being more collected and confident, and Tate being more enthusiastic and challenge-oriented. Their coordinated teamwork is vital for battles, often completing each other's sentences. In the anime, Tate and Liza interact frequently with the main characters, and their father is the director of the Space Center where they train. Besides their Gym Leader role in the games, they also make appearances in the anime, manga, and Trading Card Game.
