Allister

Allister, known as オニオン (Onion) in Japanese, is a character in the Pokémon franchise. He is a Gym Leader in the Galar region, specializing in Ghost-type Pokémon. Allister is known for his introverted, shy personality and the mask he always wears. He first appears as a Gym Leader in Pokémon Shield, while another Gym Leader takes his place in Pokémon Sword. He is characterized by his pale skin, purple eyes, short black hair, and a white mask with motifs resembling Corsola. Allister prefers to spend his time alone in ruins and cemeteries, rather than making public appearances. In the anime series "Pokémon Journeys," he interacts with Ash and his companions. He is known to own a Cursola and has interactions with a Sinistea. It is also said he has an ability to perceive deceased Ghost-type Pokémon from an incident at the age of four. His Japanese name, "Onion," refers to the edible bulb, and also contains "oni," meaning ghost or demon, and onions are related to garlic, believed to be able to repel or damage vampires.
